i have the same problem and think is the spindle / needle bearing, same as urs. Do you have the timken or SKF number? i think napa is B2110. How did you removed what was left of the bearing?
Thanks

I have a shop press at home, but the bearing was so far gone I had nothing to grip to press out... I wound up buying brand new main hub bearing assemblies.. I found a guy on eBay that was selling them or 106 shipped brand new..

here are some cell phone photos of my broken parts and after I cleaned painted and put on all the new stuff. My new warranty hubs are on back order from warn now so I am still waiting to drive it... but the axle has no play any more everything seems nice and tight like it should..

I also changed the oil, trans fluid/filter put on a magnafine filter, made a home made cold air intake with an aem dry filter, and changed the fluid in the rears and added an 08 aluminum diff cover all at once... hopefully she will feel like a new truck again.

You don't need a press to do the needle bearings. We tapped my old ones out using a punch from what I'll call the lockout side of the hub, then tapped the new ones in using a hammer.

definetly change the u joint in the axle, mine was bad and so was the needle bearings in the hub, destroying the lockout. i changed the wheel hubs the axle u joint and lockouts all at once. not a bad job, removing the studs from the bearing hub was the hard part.
