I have an '04 that I bought brand new in May 04 and it only has about 35K on the odometer now because of my multiple deployments to Iraq. I have a 4.5" lift and 35" tires with the stock 373 gears. I'm looking to get some of the power back that I've lost because of the larger tires. Right now, I only tow my '46 Willys CJ2A (heavier because of mods) total weight trailer and jeep between 5-6K LBS. The truck can be a bit sluggish towing long grades and up and over the mountains to the trails that I offroad the jeep.

My question is this. If I got the SCT x3 with Innovative tunes with the Edge Insight for gauges, would I be alright without studs? I don't plan on hot rodding the truck. Just trying to get some more power for pulling my trailer and jeep and getting better fuel mileage for daily driving.

I've heard that Eric's tunes from Innovate is safe for non-studded trucks. Any insight would be much appreciated.
