Lincoln was not wrong, he understood that if big business went unchecked , by the labour pool or government than the standards of those making the capital for said businesses would be determined by the business with no regard to health and welfare of the workers. This is a classic example of how the rich as in "big business" will screw the working man and his own unless the business is held accountable for its actions by the workforce, Wal Mart doesn't shop for the best deal they demand the deal they want by bullying suppliers to do it or lose the business of the worlds largest retailer there are a lot of companies who lose money onsome the products they sell to Wal mart to keep all fo theyre products on they're shelves and then said company has to squeeze its workers wages and benefits and they're suppliers do the same and you bring everyones standard of living down.
