Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and soon to be new to owning a Powerstroke. I was looking to get some advice from anyone. My family has all owned Fords, but none have owned a Powerstroke truck.
I was looking to buy a F250, crew cab, diesel, 4WD, short or long bed. I was basing the price from info on Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds, and some other used vehicle buying resources. I found a 99 F250, CC, 4WD, SB with almost 240,000 miles on it. The truck looks nice and apparently has no problems, other than the side mirror not working. I pulled a carfax on it on it was clean, if that means anything. Since I don't know much (anything) about these vehicles, I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on what to look for, and if 240k miles is crazy. I've seen folks talking about their high mileage trucks and I heard the 7.3 PSD just get broken-in at 200k miles. I understand this would be a hard question to answer, but I wanted to see if I could get another 35k to 50k out it. Is that possible, or do they have a magic number when they start to fall apart?
Any thoughts would be appreciated! THANKS ALL!!
