No start
Well i just put a new tranny in my truck and it started up fine before i did this, while in the process of transfering parts from one tranny to the other i took the Tranmission Range Sensor ( i think its the name of it) its on the side of the tranny whre the linkage hooks up, well when tightening it on the new tranny it tightened it a bit too tight and i heard a crack, just thinking it was a crack of the outer case i didnt think much of it until my truck wont start now, Could that Sensor being broke stop power from going to my starter ?

I am guessing that the sensor that you cracked, may have cracked the insides of it. That sensor if I am not mistaken contains the neutral safety switch. If I was going to start anywhere to fix this problem I diffenately would start there. Also I would make sure that you have the linkage adjusted properly. Just becuase your gear indicator states your in park or nuetral doesn't mean that the trans is in park or neutral. If you have the linkage adjusted properly and it still does not start I would try and find a new neutral safety switch at a local parts yard or check and see how much a new costs at a local parts store.

well i disconnected the linkage at that piece and switched it through all the gears under the truck while trying to start it each time and still nothing , so im thinking i may cracked that sensor and its not even sending a signal to the starter at all ?
