Stop/ turn lights, cruise, abs

I have a 96 250 4x4. Recently my tail lights and cruise control stopped working and my abs light intermittently comes on. I looked in the fuse panel under the dash and the fuse was still good but I replaced it anyways to make sure, but it's still not working. Where should I begin to trace this problem? I'm assuming it's a short in the wiring but i dont know where to look.

Are the taillights inop, or the brake lights? (Two completely different circuits)

Well actually it seems that both of my stop/blinker lights went out at the same time. I replaced both the bulbs and everything is working now. Even my cruise control is working again.

I feel pretty dumb for this
