Help with license plate light

I am trying to pass inspection in state of md and found out the lic plate light is missing due to custom bumper. I think it is brown hot and black ground next to drivers side tail-light. Is this correct anyone, if not any easy way to wire up a universal light from advance auto? thanks i
2. I think brown wire with flat connector is hot for lic plate light?
3. Think blk wire is grnd?

Those colors are correct for power and ground. Those wires should tie into the same color wires for the Rear Park/Stop/Turn Lamps. Cheers!
