E fuel leak

I recently finished a fuel block e fuel conversion and deleted the stock fuel bowl and mechanical pump. I used a super duty fuel pump on the frame rail with a pre and post pump fuel filter. The pressure side filter leaks fuel around the filter seal. I've tried a different filter and differing levels of tightness to stop the leak without resolve. I removed the post pump filter as a resolution for now. FPR gauge indicates 65 psi.
Is there a reason for a post pump filter/can I get by without it? With so many e fuel conversions, others must have had this issue, how was it fixed. Anybody know if a different filter works better on the pressure side? I am using Napa filter/separator 3407 for both filters. Thanks.
