How to remove Clutch master cylinder push rod?
I have had the plastic clip that attaches the pushrod to the pedal break, now I need to fix it. Do I need to remove the rod to replace it? If so, how do I remove the neutral safety switch?
The rod popped off about 5 miles from my house, and I drove it home with out using the clutch, I would like to have my baby back. thanks for the help. |

the safety switch is shaped like a horse shoe. on side will be open and you can pop it off the rod. The rod snaps into the master cylinder and you cannot remove it. I tried and tried and tried to pull mine out the last time I replaced my master/slave cylinder and I could not get it out. I would think you could get just that little plastic clip.. It might be rigged but you could zip tie the rod back to the pedal until you get the right part...
