glow plug light

my 95 psd has new glow plugs and a new relay. the light stays on for 2 seconds at the longest. my buddies and dads obs psd's stay on about 10 seconds. or close to it. my truck also doesnt seem to have the exhaust warm up valve fuctioning properly. thanks for help

the glow plugs actually stay on alot longer then the light does,i think like a minute or two longer.just watch your battery gauge,when you turn the key on it sits at like 9-10v,then when the glow plugs shutoff,it jumps up into the normal range.my light only stays on for a couple sec also.

96 F250 460-auto-ext.cab-long box-4.10-152k-10mpg all day running or not.....

My light goes out in under 2 sec almost every time.
