air box nuts ??????
I have a 96 f-350 w/7.3L psd. I need to find the hold down nuts for the air box. They are 2-3 inches long with a 1/4" square drive head. They go thru the top piece and secure it to the bottom tightening down on the filter. I have looked everywhere that I can think of locally and can only find them at the STEALERship for $15.00 a piece! and I need 2.
I have a ford part number if this is any help--F6TZ9B680AA If anyone has some or knows where I can find these please help....thanks for any help |

Rather than sacrifice your mileage by going with a replacement intake, why not get the replacement airbox that fixes the turbo dusting issue those square-head screws cause? The replacement airbox has steel screws with slots in them, and hold the lid more tightly to the filter, eliminating the potential ingress of unfiltered dirt.
Contrast that to the increased intake engine heat, increased EGTs and decreased mileage recorded nearly across the board when users switch to an unchambered, heat-soaked open filter element... the choice is yours. |
