Can you guys tell me if this is right??

I found a truck that I am lookin into here near omaha ne. I asked the guy if it had a chip n his response was

" there is a defuser chip, does not work well for the fact that the map sensor on fords make it defuel which actually causes you to lose alot of power. you can only turn the chip up a quarter of the way to run good and quick."



Can you all help me out idk muck about diesels im just startin to get into them thanks alot

first off welcome to the Org

Dfuser does sell a simple chip... it defuels once you hit around 25psi....

is he running gauges with it? if not thats a big NO NO... i would never buy a truck that i didn know the owner that has a tuner or chip in it.... you never know how hard it was used....

ok so no guages means dont buy it if it has a chip....what kind of guages do you guys recommend to have

"96 powerstroke 1 ton $6800 OBO. its a auto with 123,000 miles on it. Has A Custom Hood I Never Finished, 5 Inch Stacks, New Air Filter The Turbo Blows Off Pretty Loud Atleast It Turns Peoples Heads To See Whats Coming. Which Was My Goal.before i bought it the glow plugs were changed and the fuel sender unit in the tanks were replaced. with in the last two i have replaced the brake power booster, master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, front and rear brakes, 2 yr old alternator, one new battery, new tranny cooler, fuel filter 500 miles ago, i have new rotors for it and a abs hydrolic unit, have never installed them yet. i know theres more but there is most of it. tires have about 2,000 miles on them. call, text or email me with any questions I Need To Sale This Asap my girl friend is pregnant and i need the money thanks for looking

well he doesnt have anything but trans temp in it idk why. now is the hard part, tryin to find someone who can co-sign for me
