Went to go see my neighbors band tonight, drive there was great stereo blasten and spewin smoke. then went to move my truck to a place that was easier to see, died, fired right back up, got around the block died again wouldn't start, 15 min later fired up after took the air cleaner out, got a half a block away died again, friend showed up went home grabbed a chain got back to the truck got about 2 blocks, so on and so forth my friends burban towed me home, and my d&^% shrank a bit tonight because of it.
Here's everything I tried and It'll still run about 15-30 seconds at a time. took the air cleaner out, pulled the little yellow water lever made sure that wasn't it. Even took out the fuel filter and it tried to fire. I checked the fuel bowl repeatedly always full,. check engine light never came on. I let it sit for an hour hood up went out and fired it up ran for a while 2-3 min stuttered and died turned it over and it thought about firing tach moved, turned ignition off tried again and no tach movement it's a 95 250 7.3 with 116k tranny's been rebuilt once, got rear ended couple months ago which bent my bumper (TOTALLED the civic ) that wouldn't be it would itso on to my question would that be the cps, can I get a decent one from schucks? Oh yea and i missed the friggin show |

definitly sounds like a possiblility.when mine went out i could restart it and drive a quarter mile then it would die,did this numerous times.its a cheap part now so i would so it,cant hurt,goodluck.

yea, not smokin anymore heat range is in the norm, hopefully she don't die in the woods on me today

got it up to temp, took her for a drive, some soft some hard, looks like it's all good
|
|

didn't leave me stuck in the woods today so I guess all is good.
