Low Beam comes on late

I just bought a 1995 F250 7.3 and when i goto drive it after it sits a while my low beams will not come on. Then when i start driving they will come on and stay on. Then if i shut it off , go inside and do somethin for like 10 mins come back out and start the truck they work. but if i let the truck sit for a hour or so the lights come on late. The highbeams will work only in flash to pass mode until the low beam comes on. Could it be the wiring ? the headlight switch or something? i just got it yesterday and havent had time to look at it yet.

That sounds really odd...i don't know why time would have anything to do with it if it were in the wireing or switch...hmmmm?
