Very urgent PCM HELP!!

Dropped my Truck of at the dealer yesterday to get the PCM reflashed and they shot it. Truck is dead, they said the PCM was bad, even though the truck ran without problems when took there. Anyways, they want $960 for it installed!! No way!

My question is, which years PCM are interchangable when I start looking for one from the junkyard or does anyone have one for sale!!

I reading some where that you can pic one up at auto zone, or some other parts house for around 130.00 it is a plank, no programing. Can,t remember where i read it at.( thats what happens when you get old)

If your truck isn't a Cali truck any pcm from 95 to 97 should work.As long as you get it reflashed.

i think that they need to fix it. cause when my pcm went out the truck wouldnt even start... so i think that they need to fix the truck

Thanks. I am negotiation with the dealer. He said he will look for a salvage one and put it in, may take him a while. I already got an appointment with an attorney next Thursday, turn up the heat a little. The dealer said that they shouldn't have done the reflash since I told them I want it done because it wouldn't accept my Edge programer. If he admits to me they shouldn't have done it, then they need to fix it. I would have said no if they told me this could happen.

Got the Truck back today, they put a new PCM in on their dime, as they should. And now my Edge works on the Truck, so I even got the result I wanted. It runs pretty good with that, I will have to see if I get my hoped for milage gain.
