Has anyone else seen this?

On the bottom of the fuel filter housing I now have an 1/8" hole for the liquid gold to make a rapid exit from the vehicle. The hole appears to be where there was a casting flaw, and not from any impact damage.

Fairly common. I've seen damage from corrosion. Is it by the fuel heater?

actually no, it is right next to the support ridge for the water drain valve. unfortunately it is to close to the corner to drill and tap it for a plug.
