Vibration Problem

I've got a vibration in my 97 7.3 and its getting worse. At first it started out only doing it when I was in 3rd gear. It's just a strong vibration that feels like its coming from underneath. It vibrates the whole truck. When you let off the gas it goes away completely. Now it's gotten worse and the steering wheel shakes really bad when you start from a stop and then as you go faster the steering wheel stops shaking and the rest of the truck just vibrates real bad. Any ideas?

Here are a few possibilities. Carrier bearing. It could also be u-joints. Get under the truck and see if you have any slop anywhere along the driveshaft. Look for driveshaft damage. Also, look for some balance weight scars that may have gotten knocked off your driveshaft. Check for loose lug nuts.
