Question Tach quit working

Does anyone know what sensor on the motor works the tach. If so where is it located. and does anyone have a wiring diagram. Speedometer also doesn't work seems like a short. anyone had this problem. Thanks

problem with that idea is that if the CPS was bad, the engine wouldn't start either.
