97 starting issues hot and cold

i have a 97 7.3L 5 spd manual "160000mil" with a swamps tuned Ts chip that iv had for the last 40k miles.Over the last few months it has become harder and harder to start. It began with only giving me trouble one the first start of the day but now it is doing it all the time. I have resorted to rolling it down my drive to start it and it fires as soon as i pop the clutch and runs fine.Once i turn off and try to restart it takes several trys most ending with a short fire and then the starter disenguages like it usually would when it starts.Once it starts correctly it runs fine. I have changed the fuel filter and oil with no change.Any sudgestions would be greatly apprisiated

Are the batteries and starter good?

Does it start if you plug it in for a few hours?
