1994 stalling and check engine light comes on and goes off!!

i have a 1994 PSD turbo. sometimes when i give it fuel it stalls and engine light comes on. if ya let off fuel petal, light goes off and truck starts to run ok. i put a new fuel filter on today and it still doing it. no codes are being thrown tho....truck is all stock as far as i know. 266000 miles on it. oil level is good also. 5 speed trans in it. please help thanks!!!!

Intermittent stalling could be the CPS. If you have a scanner the codes would be P0340, P0341, P0344.

i had a similar problem a few months back. ended up being the IDM was going out.
