Power Steering hose question
I have a 1997 f350 7.3L PSD. The power steering is leaking fluid. While my son turned the wheel I saw fluid coming out of a hose connection. The hose comes straight out of the right side of the reservior. I tried tightening it but it still leaked. Which hose is this, high pressure, or return?

I believe that is the return. It is the one with a hose clamp on it if I remember correctly. If so then it is the return line.
If it does not have the hose clamp but a fitting on it. Then remove it and put some teflon tape on it and put it back on. |

you need to buy a new line. Mine did that too and it was done. Ford puts a plastic thingy inside that fitting that when it breaks the fitting blows. They are cheap like 50 bucks from ford so you can get it cheaper through napa or some place like that. They are easy to change too...you can go right in through the fender well.
