What the Heck?
94.5 OBS CCLB 7.3 PSD/5sp ZF. I installed a used 120v IDM, upgraded my injectors and installed all new glow plugs. I also replaced the UVCH and put in new valve cover gaskets.
On the first start up, no WTS light but the truck did start. The WTS has actually come on and operated normally with normal 2 -3 revolutions on the starter then it lit right up and ran fine. Subsequent starts had no WTS and long cranks, maybe 15 - 30 seconds but it does start. Weather here is mid 70's to mid 80's.
Every thread I could find on no WTS also said the truck was a no start and had PCM problems. Mine starts and runs, no idle issues, great power (love love love those Full Force Diesel Stage 1's).
Oh, my previously accurate electric GlowShift EGT and Oil Pressure gauges now are weirded out too. Both show zero with key on, engine off. Key on engine on and both go to maximum. Somehow, I have doubts that the EGT is over 2,000 degrees at idle right after starting...
Batteries are new Diehard 850 CCA and charged completely, cables are tight and not corroded.
I need some suggestions. Do I have some kind of electrical ground issue? Something else I should look at?
