New Starter Busted, Time To Replace

My old starter was running on empty, so after doing some research, I replaced it with the '03 2 bolt (bought remanufactured from Autozone). I swapped them out, and the truck started so fast I barely had time to enjoy the sound of the new starter. I was very pleased.

After about 20 starts, though, it died. It sounded like it was spinning, but not engaging the flywheel (maybe the bendix wasn't extending?)

Anyways... Autozone said the solenoid was fried and replaced it. Before I put it in, is there anything I should know about potential issues (primarily electrical) from putting the '03 starter in an OBS? Or was it likely just a bad remanufactured starter?

Thanks in advance!
