need some brake help

i blew a brake line out so i replaced all the lines. when i went to bleed them the bleed valves on the rear were so rusted that i couldn't get them open. sprayed them with penetrating oil for three days. needless to say i broke the valve off the threads.

i bought new wheel cylinders. that is the only way i can fix the issue.

does anyone have tips or tricks you'd like to share on getting the drums off?
is there anything else i should do while i'm in there?

is it as simple as tires off, drums off, replace wheel cylinders, put everything back together?

thanks guys...

Drums can get a little sticky after awhile ,they tend to attach themselves to the axle stub by corrosion . A good whack on the circumference of the drum with a large hammer will generally break it loose .If not then back off of the adjusters ,you'll need to do that anyway

^^^^^ Note on the above - the drum can act like a bell, that is, when you whack it, it can make a VERY loud "clang". If you have to hit it several times, hearing protection may be advised. And don't do it around neighbors who have a bug up their @$$ about noise....
