Fuel gauge problems

Anyone else out there have fuel gauge problems? Somewhere on empty or over full all the time. Never knowing how much is in the tank. How do I diagnose and fix this? I am born with a horrible curse of not being able to just let things being broken. It sucks.

Tried fixing/replacing the floats in the tanks?

Easiest way is to get some buddies and some beer and pull the bed off. Unless you have a Reese system it's only 4 bolts, 6 screws, some bands, and a little lifting. This way you can leave fuel in the tanks and not have to fight the weight and size of dropping the tanks. Get a new tank seal kit, don't reuse the old one.

I just put a brand new sender in my front tank and now it reads way over full,have no clue whats up.

The sending units are not "manhandle" calibrated. Bending the float rod is sometimes needed for proper readings on the gauge.

after some research it would seem that most people feel that a gauge reading too high or maxed out indicates an "open" circuit and no reading at all is a ground issue....Most people are talking about their old sender acting up,my issue is with a brand new sender which the arm was identical to the one that was being replaced
