fuel leaks

good afternoon ya'll,

Ive been rackin my brain all week tryin to find this horrible fuel leak that started after i changed out the fuel filter last friday. I finally broke down and took it to the trusted machanic. He said that the bottom of the fuel filter canister has rotted out and he also said he saw a weep hole forming in the fuel pump causing it to leak as well, he also said that if i dont replace the fuel pump its just goin to get worse. Just wondering if any of yall have had this problem before.

thanks

When the fuel bowl rots out it probobly wasn't drained on a regular basis and water formed in the bottom. Usually when the fuel starts to weep out of the fuel pump its going bad.
