Starting rough

Got a 96 PSD 4x4 crewcab manual trans.
Sometimes when I go to start the engine it sounds like its got a timeing problem so I shut it down and then it starts up fine. Someone told me it might be dirt injector. Does anyone know what makes it start rough?

It doesn't start rough all the time and it starts right up the seccond time. I shut it off as soon as it starts rough and it always starts right up. It never runs rough.

as i said in my pm....my best guess is the HP resevour is draining down...causing a little air to get into the lines..

Im guessing the shutdown just speeds up the prosess...and if you were to run it it would clear up on its own...
