vcg wiring

i jus got my 95 f350 an looks like somone did a hack job on wiring the driver side vcg male plug. they jus twisted the wires 2gather an slid sum hose over it. for the most part the colors match but on the driver side front plug they have to black wires going to 2 brown wires. i just got a new set of vcg with the uch an new male plugs. i want to make sure they have it right. is there some kind of diagram?

This is for ohming out the wiring from IDM connector to the VC gasket connections, but it should work for your purposes. The brown wires are all for the glowplugs and should be the 2 outermost pins on each VC connector (middle 3 are the injector wires for two injectors ... middle being the common)

Valve Cover Wiring to IDM Connector Pins

For the #1 and #3 Injectors (passenger side front):
VC connector middle pin (Injector #1 and #3 common, Orange wire) to IDM connector pin #24
VC connector adjacent pin (Injector #1, Teal wire) to IDM connector pin #6
VC connector adjacent pin (Injector #3, Brown wire with Yellow trace) to IDM connector pin #21

For the #5 and #7 Injectors (passenger side rear):
VC connector middle pin (Injector #5 and #7 common, Orange wire) to IDM connector pin #24
VC connector adjacent pin (Injector #5, Teal wire with Black trace) to IDM connector pin #8
VC connector adjacent pin (Injector #7, Teal wire with Red trace) to IDM connector pin #20

For the #2 and #4 Injectors (driver’s side front):
VC connector middle pin (Injector #2 and #4 common, Pink wire with Yellow trace) to IDM connector pin #23
VC connector adjacent pin (Injector #2, White wire) to IDM connector pin #22
VC connector adjacent pin (Injector #4, Brown wire with Light Blue trace) to IDM connector pin #7

For the #6 and #8 Injectors (driver’s side rear):
VC connector middle pin (Injector #6 and #8 common, Pink wire with Yellow trace) to IDM connector pin #23
VC connector adjacent pin (Injector #6, Light Green wire with Orange trace) to IDM connector pin #19
VC connector adjacent pin (Injector #8, Light Blue wire) to IDM connector pin #9

so the brown wires are on the out side an the pink yellow wire are in the middle? i want to say my plugs has 4 wires

Your plug should have 5 wires. For the driver's side both plugs will have brown wires on the outside pins (order doesn't matter as they are all on the same circuit ... so that's 2 wires, positions "A" and "E"). Both plugs will also have the Pink/Yellow wire in the middle pin position (they are both on the same circuit ... so that's the 3rd wire, position "C"). Each plug will then have the wires to the pins in positions "B" and "D" as described above (you will need to get the order correct for those wires! ... so that's the 4th and 5th wires). Cheers!
