Hard to start......

I'm new to the forum and to diesels I just bought a 95CCLB the guy I bought it from had the fuel pump changed and filter... I've replaced the cps sensor in the truck after that it started just fine... Few days later now it's hard to start and blows white smoke then none once running.... Is this an injector issue or something else? Also anybody know any mechanics in the houston area?

Depending on how cold it is out in the morning white smoke fro a few minutes can be normal. Cold cylinders, thick oil, just needs a minute to wake up.

Hit up this thread (Member approved repair facilities) and use the "search this thread" tab near the top. We have a couple Texan members in the OBS section but haven't seen them in a little bit.

Do you have a multi-meter? If so, check the voltage drop across the Glowplug Relay's two LARGE terminals when the relay is active (up to about 1.5 to 2 minutes after the key is turned to Wait-To-Start ... ignore the WTS light as it has nothing to do with when the plugs are actually on). If the reading is more than 0.3V, the relay is probably bad. Cheers!
