How to stop blow by??

I have a 96 7.3 with 280,000 miles with bad blow by. When I take off the oil cap it looks like a a chimney coming out, so I need to know how to stop it. If anyone has an answer please help.

Not a lot.. I set my cap on it and it didn't move, but it did vibrate, not a lot of pressure but lots of smoke.

It's more than likely fine? Any performance issues or you just popped the cap and got nervous when you seen the blowby.

How to stop blow by??

I had one with 150k that blew like a freight train with no issues. Have one now with 277k and it has absolutely zero blowby. So, unless its chugging and there is pressure behind it, I wouldn't worry about it. But that's just me. Do what you think is best.

Agree. If its running ok then just run it. There's not much you can do with blow by other than rebuild it.
