Hard warm start

First Hi.I am new to this form but not to the powerstroke. I have 1994 powerstroke 180,000 mi,50 hp chip. mostly stock, work truck. About 4 weeks ago I started having some warm hard start issues. Pulled the IPR cleaned it ,new o-rings and went to a real hard start and bad running. The IPR was stuck so I got a new one from ITP deisel on e-bay,put it in and got good start,truck runs good but I still have a hard warm start issue. Some times it starts good some times bad. HPOP is not leaking down. I have a AE code reader but can not pull codes from the old PCM. Trying to get a 97 pcm that will work so I can get codes. Any ideas what I can check till I can get codes? I am thinking a bad IPR but I just don't know. Any help will be apreciated. Thanks Buddy.
