96 powerstroke problems.

ok my 1996 f250 7.3 has 231k was my dads old work truck and i bought it..
so its 60s out and wen you go start it wont start u spray it rummmmm runs but its a PIG!!. 1 more thing with the damn brake lights you smash on them nothing u hit the brake box slide and thay come on???.

Check your Glow Plug Relay with a DVOM set to Volts-DC. Ground one lead of the meter and with the Pos lead touch one of the large posts. Have someone else rotate the key to run and what is the voltage on the post? Quickly move to the other large post and what is the voltage there?


Brake box slide? Are you asking about the slider on the trailer brake controller?

no my brake lights dont work inless u slide the brake box slider

If it's cold out yep there can be a lot of white smoke. Another indication that the GPRS or the Glow Plugs aren't up to snuff.

POWER JOKE HELP. ok my truck was runing fine then it started loping it was on e flip to the front tank and the it died so then it would not start tryed every thing then tryed and chang the filter and it strip phucking plastic whats ur IMO.

have white smoke but wen u pull the fuel filter there's no fuel?

No fuel in the bowl or just real low? Looking like a fuel pump died on you. With the filter off have someone crank the engine while you watch to see fuel movement.
