Won't start.

I had a road give way on me yesterday and my truck slid into a "dry" hole. It laid there for about three hours before we could winch it out. When it got back on all four wheels I started it and drove it out, but it ran rough, lost power and died. I haven't been able to get it to start since then. I has a new fuel filter and all fuses are good.

It will run if we spray ether in the breather but die as soon as the ether is gone.
The bowl has fuel. It seems that fuel is getting to the filter, but I'm thinking that something somewhere is preventing the fuel from getting to the injectors.

This is my first diesel and I don't know what to do. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Jim

When it sank did there happen to be any damage to the underside of the truck? Maybe a pinched fuel line or exhaust pipe?
