truck dies when trying to read pcm codes
So Im trying to diagnose a tranny problem with my 97 and I can't hook up to it cause the truck dies when I try and access the PCM. It has happened with 2 different code readers. Going to try hooking it up to a modis on saturday.
Has anyone had ANY problem like this at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Mine did that with a cheap scanner. I used my otc and it did not do it

yeah i figured it out. Its cause its not really obd. Its eec-IV
