befor it shut off how was it running?

when it shut off did it die like you turned the key of or did it stumble and slowly die?

This happened to me! I replaced my glow plugs, I found out the cam sensor was off a '99 F250 (from the knucklehead I bought the truck from) so I replaced that, it started right up. After that I got some Diesel Kleen and a full tank of fuel and it's been running right ever since.
