Driveability Problems

1998 E-Super duty (E-450) Cutaway van withutility body. 7.3 Turbo

A month ago I had the cam sensor replaced....

Last week I was stuck on the road with a bad alternator....

Last couple of days when I would start-up in the morning the engine would run extremely rich until it warmed up. This morning I had an appointment at my dealer, and my diesel tech found a bad exhaust back-pressure sensor, also the exhaust sampling tube was clogged. He cleaned out the tube, and installed a new sensor, but today it is sounds/feels funny while it drives. He says it could just be the computer relearning, or he said that he noticed a small exhaust leak on the Y pipe back by the turbo... maybe that is effecting the sensor?

I have had a great reliable work truck for 7 years now. Do I start looking for a new work van, or maybe order new harnesses and sensors and just spend a weekend replacing these to prevent future problems? I am also changing the fuel pump soon.

Looking for advice
