97 F350 7.3L

I have a 97 Ford F350 XL 7.3L Automatic and im having a starter system related issue. I replaced the starter for this guy cause the solenoid was melted and it wasnt really doing anything. So i bought and installed a new starter. hooked up the negative terminals and started like a charm. About 1 minute into it running while i was putting my stuff away, the starter has sounded like it reengaged so I shut it off and the truck was cranking over. Hurried and disconnected the negative terminals. I did a continuity check between the two large lugs on the starter solenoid on the passenger side wheel well and it was ohming out continuity. I had the customer pick up from ford and install a new starter solenoid on the Passenger side wheel well and he said it was doing the same thing when he was hooking up the negative terminals. I had him remove the wire on the top center to see if it was still gonna do it and he said it was still cranking, any advice diagrams schematics would help... thanks
