Unhappy Clicking coming from manifold gaskets?

Hey guys this will be my first post. I have a 96 7.3 and there is a clicking noise coming from the driver side manifold (I think), as I was looking at it I noticed how bad the bolts were how could I get it off without breaking them and if anyone knows what else the noise could be. thanks

sounds like you could have an exhaust leak. soak the bolts in your favorite penetrating lube pb blaster, aerokroil, etc do it several times. then try and remove them. it the are frozen it is normally in the manifold and not the head. you can then get vice grips to the broke ones and remove them from the head. these trucks did not have manifold gaskets from the factory, but there are gaskets out there if you want to put one in when you are done

Mine was clicking really bad, It was definitly an exhaust leak, the rear bolt had broken. i highly recommend taking off the inner fender, Its a simplt fix, took mine off, had a couple bolts siezed in the manifold, but with a big impact and hitting the head of the bolt with a punch and hammer i eventually got them all free due to the vibrations, the previous owner must have had it leaking lots, because i had to get the manifold replaned, it was suprisingly un even.

i also recommend the gasket and all new bolts.

Good luck
