Son of a..... Hoods stuck

Not closed and not open. Messing around with the ccv mod yesterday, went to close the hood and it was not wanting to latch. Ive seen that before so just lifted the hood and dropped it again. It "latched", but its not fully closed and it wont open back up....Should i just get in there and tear my arms to (*)& and unbolt the latch? And any idea what the problem may be so i can correct it from happening again....

Is it stuck on the primary latch, or the secondary? If it's stuck on the primary, try this - have an assistant in the cab pull on the cable and hold it, at the same time, you push down and pull up on the hood and try to get it to pop.

I'm thinking it must be the secondary latch as the hood looks popped. I get no action out of the under dash lever. Ideas?

Push down on the hood while you try to move the secondary lever.

Negative ghost rider. So how many bolts am I looking for to remove to get this open? I can see one clearly looking in and to the left, I'm guessing there's another that's going to be a b*+** behind the mechanism?

Just an update. I spent an hour the other day cussing while removing the two bolts that hold the latch in place. I have a 95 so am able to reach in and get them, but im sure not all grills are open like that YMMV. Remove the two bolts and the hood should open up. I just wiggled the latches out of the slot/tab. For some reason the latches had closed while the hood was open and when i closed the hood it jammed into a bad position. I reset the latch and everythings gravy now.

I ended up loosening the mounts, whats a hassle
