ECM replacement from tranny short
Has anyone ever heard of the tranny wires or wiring melting and taking the ECM with it?
The truck I was about to buy in Seattle had this happened on Friday the day i flew up to get it. the story is the wires melted and the vehicle kept shifting in and out of overdrive after the wires were fixed. it was tracked down to the ECM needing replaced. 300 miles were driven on it today and it is said to be perfect. No problems after the new ECM was ordered and replaced.
