I recently purchased a 1996 Ford F250 4x4 7.3 crewcab . I purchased it knowing that it didn't run . I thought I could slap some new batteries in it and get it running .... Well here i am . Put 2 new batteries , a new cam sensor and Im still not getting the truck to fire up . All it does is turn over , spins kinda fast too . I had a friend hold a rag with gas hold it up to the hose to the air breather , and he said there was no suction as I was turning the key . I am clueless to these diesel's . Thanks in advance .

Gasoline on the rag? Probably just as bad an idea as ether. Remember, presuming they're working, the glow plugs will ignite anything that gets near them.
Three preliminaries with any crank-no-start: * Does the WTS light come on? * Does the tach move when it cranks? * Any white smoke? |
