Cool Wipers only work with Headlights on Highbeam

All functions of the wipers are normal except they only work when the high/low beam selector is in high beam position. Lights can be on or off, but selector must be in high beam position for the wipers to function. Ideas anyone?

Sounds like a multifuction switch going bad. that is the name for that particualr unit that controlls wipers, blinkers, and high/low......i just looked at the wiring diagram and i dont see any corrolation between the two that should make that happen except the switch........but i would have it tested before replacing it.......Marc
