speedometer problems
i was wondering if anyone could help me figure out why i my speedometer has gone out on me twice in 40,000 miles. the first one lasted over 100,000. i replaced my speed sensor both times. i know a few guys with strokers that have way over 200,000 miles on their trucks and haven't had one problem with their speedometer. i'm just tired of spending money on the guage cluster and not on more fun things.

did you guys check the other speed sensors. I believe there is a total of three. I know one on the transmission and one on the rear axle.

where is the one on the tranny. my needle bounces. i have replaced the cluster once 40,000 miles ago. its seems to happen on bumpy roads. it causes my trans to down shift cause the transmition shop says the seedometer is telling the tranny that the truck is slowing down. they said this will burn up my freshly rebuilt tranny if it keeps happening cause my tourqe converter unlocks under full throttle.
