Hate to break it to you, but getting to 20 won't be easy and probably won't pay for itself for many years.

Start with the easy stuff, put some small street tires on and cover the bed. Ditch the lift if you have one. Install a overdrive and/or 3.55's to get the RPM down.

Well i plan on putting a flat bed on it and throughing in 3:55s but I was looking for enigne mods to help support this transition, because in mind it is easier to modify this one than to buy a new truck

If it has the stock exhaust get rid of it. Especially the stock downpipe. I went with the Diamond Eye System. 3 inch down pipe 4 inch straightpipe, no muffler or kitty. And a DIY intake will help some also. And a chip will help some also.

biggest difference will be how you drive it. I can pull over 20 out of my truck with 4.10 and a 5 speed - i think the stick makes a big difference.
