ominous leaking part?
hey guys,
my first powerstroke, did a few searches for what this is called. this part is leaking fuel from the bottom pipe, into the engine V and all over the ground below the inspection cover. what is it called and is it a pain to change? also is there an upgrade or better part that would be good to get while i have it out. i was told it was the fuel pressure regulator... im not sure. thanks for any advice |

yes sir that is what that is, its not too big of a deal to change, just 2 10mm bolts, 2 fuel lines, and a hose clamp or 2 depending on the year...make sure its not just a sensor leaking on there, like the water in fuel sensor which is where the wire goes in your picture, if it is cracked the new casting is $435 from ford...if you do need it I have one from a 95 and a 97...let me know

thank you farmer.
i admit, i gave up on this forum and just started digging around on google. ive decided to just yank all that stuff and install an Airdog II. sounds like lots of problems occur in that area on older trucks and the resulting leaks go right in to the bell housing... dont like that idea. thank you for the relpy. take care |
