Low Oil Pressure

Have been struggling with problems with my 97 F250 SD. Starts good when cold, but once engine temp comes up the check engine light comes on and there is an immediate loss of power. Took it in and had CPS replaced, IDM and back pressure sensor. No change. Now the shop is telling me that the oil pressure is low...up to 40 lbs on the high side and goes down to 18 lbs when warm. Any ideas of what's causing this???

The truck is also nearly impossible to start when the engine is warm.

18PSI at idle when warm is fine for oil pressure...as long as its getting into at least the 30's above 1500 RPM....

Id be looking more at the IPR valve and or fuel pump as being potential problems. Whats the fuel pressure when cranking warm? and have they monitored the ICP to see if the IPR vavlve might be leaking by the o rings??
