7.3 burning alot of oil.....

I just bought a 95 7.3 and it burned 2 gal. in about 20 miles the guy told me the turbo was bad just was wondering if anyone had a problem like this before i spend money on a rebuilt turbo

uh, with 2 gallons its more likely leaking it rather than burning it. if it smokes a lot of blue then its posssible its burning it though. look for a puddle of oilon the ground and around the turbo, basically just all around.

2 gallon would be a lot of oil to burning through the engine. But it could be the turbo seal leaking it out the exhaust side. Good mosquito repeller!!
