Another no start. Very frustrated!
Pulled in for lunch just down the street. came back out and NO START!!!!!!! did the few things i could remember, unplugged the ipr(someone said it goes into dummy mode) the tach reads 300rpm while cranking so dont think CPS(have 2 on order anyway). Normally when you turn the key to the run position the Service Engine Soon light will stay illuminated atleast for a few seconds.. well mine comes on and bam its off in about 1/2second, just a flash. took the ECU out and removed and cleaned all connections with alcohol both the pin side and the chip side. I tried starting without the chip installed. NOTHING!! BTW who the heck designed the location of that ECU should be shot but thats a different story. I opened up the filter housing and the fuel is just as clean as can be. installed a new filter anyway. NO START! it cranks over fine. I have had probs with my clutch saftey switch latley due to a worn clutch rod on the master, but it turns over fine! does it also have a ignition cut out as well? Any info would be helpful.

Do you, or did you ever have an aftermarket alarm such as Viper, Python, Code Alarm, or anything like? It might be the alarm's starter kill if you had one and it was removed or crapped out.

have you checked the oil level in the HPOP res.? Check battery voltage while crabking, should be at least 10V. Also check fuse 22 under the hood just for kicks. Good luck, keep us informed.

Just checked the HPOP Res, The correct place to check is remove the plug on the drivers side? the one with the hex in the top for an allen key?? I checked it there with the allen key as a dipstick and it is a good 2.5 to 3 inches below the opening... i suppose it is low? what goes in?? regular engine oil???

Scratch what I said about a starter kill related to an alarm...after thinking about it tonight I remembered that if it was an old alarm, it wouldn't even crank...sorry for bad info Wayne.
