cps color?

Would someone be so kind? To answer a if a gray cps is the replacement color for a black one, I bought a new one at the ford dealer they gave me a gray one. The back of the gray cps is smaller than the black one. It fit but truck has started to die again. It will start back up, but sometimes now it will start running back on it's own.
