Have the codes pulled and post them, pretty good chance it's the TPS but lets check codes first. Autozone usualy does this for free.

Send a message via AIM to dereku
as an odd problem that can cause this check the little button the pops out when the pedal is depressed. If this button is not pushed in enough it wont let the pedal be reconized. I know this because I adjusted mine to the perfect throttle response, if this is the problem have fun learning how to get better throttle response its a good feeling but only fractions od an inch are required to notice a difference

My 97 is doing the same, pedal just quits working on the road.
Have to pull over and shut it off. Had the codes pulled, came up with intermittant throttle position sensor.

Anyone know where to get a new one?

Mine's doing the same, ave to shut her down and then turn her on again, but it happens just some times, quite funny she does it when she should not... yaesterday she just wont throttle in the middle of an intersection...

Have the codes pulled once came up with the tps, the situation is that she wasn't doing that, but I changed injector O rings and IPR i think, don't remember so well... and she came up qith that... it can become REALLY frustrating...

I finally found the TPS, a doorman part, 699-200 I think. Was 60 bucks at car quest and solved the issues I was having. Truck runs great now!
